Richard started his EMS career in 1980 joining Nanuet Ambulance and becoming a founding member of the Youth Corp. In 1981 he was involved in the commercial side of EMS working for Hudson Valley Ambulance of Haverstraw, N.Y. until 1986. He then went to work in Westchester County for Empress Ambulance working 911 in the cities of Yonkers, Mt. Vernon and New Rochelle until 1995. During his tenure at Empress Richard started his career at Our Lady of Mercy in the Bronx in the 911 division from 1992 thru 1996. He became a Paramedic with Rockland Paramedic Services in 1995 and became a Station Lt. in 2000. Richard has been very involved in many aspects of EMS along with keeping a family floor covering business going as a Sales Rep. to a few manufacturers in the tri-state area being fourth generation in the business.
