HEROES 2020: Jerry Vautrin

Jerry Vautrin

Member of the Year

Jerry Vautrin was named Member of the Year by Stony Point VAC during the recent EMS Week 2020 observance in Rockland County NY. The County’s annual EMS Awards Ceremony normally held at the Rockland County Fire Training Center in Pomona was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“It is always an honor to recognize the dedication, skill and talent of Rockland’s EMS providers,” said Rockland County Executive Ed Day. “They are among the best in the field and they deserve to be commended for their commitment to providing quality emergency care to our residents. The pressures and difficulties they have overcome this year deserve our deepest recognition and thanks. Congratulations to this year’s winners. You are an inspiration to us all.”

Jerry joined Stony Point Ambulance Corps in 1994 and was voted in as a SPVAC Life Member in 2005 for his dedication and selfless service to the community. Vautrin was a Former Soldier at 101 Signal Bn Nyarng, and served as First Sergeant (1SG) in the New York Army National Guard. He also worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse and Staff Nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, N.Y. (now retired).
