Psychologist’s New Book Can Have You
Looking for Love in All the Right Places

Carmen Harra, PhD. and Alexandra Harra

“Committed is a practical manual for anyone seeking to build and maintain a stable relationship. It offers grounded, realistic advice for readers to strengthen their bond with their significant other and get loyalty from the one they love.” ~ Dr. John Gray, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus

Who hasn’t played the game of love and lost at least once? In her new book, Committed: Finding Love and Loyalty Through the Seven Archetypesrenowned psychologist Carmen Harra and her daughter Alexandra, a certified relationship coach, explain what we might be doing wrong and how to fix it. The solution will be a combination of inner work and learning how to recognize the types of partners we meet along the road.

“What is commitment, and why is it so hard to achieve?” Harra asks. “We’ve all struggled in love, but if you picked up this book, it means you’re ready to end cycles of pain and disappointment and foster a truly fulfilling relationship.”

Committed was written to help readers reevaluate the way they think about love. It’s a relationship manual that unfolds in two parts: first, the work one needs to perform on the inside, and then the seven distinct archetypes one could encounter on the outside.

  • Committed can show you how to:
  • • reexamine core beliefs you hold about commitment and let go of harmful assumptions,
  • • clear karmic patterns that were passed down to you and heal emotional trauma from your youth,
  • • liberate yourself from people, places, and habits that no longer serve you,
  • • develop an unshakable sense of self-worth so that you give love not just to another partner but to the right partner,
  • • identify your partner’s archetype as well as his strengths, weaknesses, mindset, and commitment capacity,
  • • determine your own love archetype,
  • • make your partner commit based on the needs, fears, and desires of his archetype,
  • • navigate successfully through the world of online and in-person dating,
  • • build emotional intimacy with your partner,
  • • mediate external influences that come between you, and
  • • apply real-world solutions to resolve any relationship problem!

In the first part of Committed, readers learn how to reexamine core beliefs they hold, clear karmic patterns, heal any emotional trauma, liberate themselves from people who no longer serve them and develop an unshakable sense of self-worth.

I help you to go from wallowing around in a confused funk to setting you off on an exciting new adventure, armed with the skills you need to enjoy the journey and deal with the bumps along the way.

“I take confused readers, wherever they are in life, and help them craft a clear-cut path toward achieving their goals sustainably, without sacrificing what currently makes their life great,” explains the author. “I call on the latest information and on-trend methodologies, and only focus on what’s proven to work. There’s no pseudo-science or fads, here!”

Continuing, “It’s vital I crafted something informal, while also making sure I get across the sheer breadth and diversity of experience I have as a coach. This volume is the culmination of a career spent changing the lives of thousands, and I’m so proud to now be offering it in a format so accessible and easy to deploy.”

About the author, in her own words:

AvatarI am a coach, a pretty good one too according to my lovely clients. What makes me really happy is to help you to become the best version of yourself, and to sustain it. I do that either with my brain training or with my biomechanics and Pilates coaching or often with a bit of both. I am not a normal coach, I can’t be faffed sitting in an office so I work with clients outside or remotely. I don’t do ‘wafty’ either, something probably very obvious from the title of one of my books!

So, how did I become a Life Coach? I’d spent years developing Equestrian Pilates and although it is a physical activity, it became clear that the brain can have a huge impact on the body. Also, for a long time I was not a very happy, nor confident, person. Not being confident made me miserable so I set off on a mission to change that. I dabbled in Sports Psychology but the focus was often on things that had happened in the past. You cannot go back and change things so I decided to focus more on the here and now, and the future too.

As a serial studier, I added a huge range of qualifications to my already extensive list including:
Life Coach
Positive Psychology
Law of Attraction
Emotional Intelligence
Life Purpose Coach
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

My books are easy to read, I stay away from fancy-pants language and terminology – for goodness sakes, you want to read a book not have to stop and google what something means every five minutes.

In my personal life I am an animal lover and have horses and dogs…which is probably why I do a lot of remote work with clients so that they don’t have to see/smell how filthy I am 99% of the day! But, it makes me happy and that is what life is all about.

Hope that was helpful, look forward to sharing more of my work with you soon.
